Hey Sis, I’m SHENEQUA

A Creative Coach who services women Artists & Creatives of color to strategize ways for them to live out their dream artist residency. Yes Sis, you heard me correct. Being an Artist of color I was tired of working 9-5 in the corporate world, compromising my travel plans because I don’t have enough vacation days, and seeing my creativity take a back seat while paying back my student loans every month for art school. NO MORE. I took the leap of faith. Now, I’m truly living out my dream artist residency: being a full-time Artist, traveling internationally, actively selling my art work, showing my works in spaces of my choosing, and most importantly inspiring others. How? Simple! Dream big, make a healthy shift, and invest in YOU.

Dream BIG

Take a deep breath, go to a sacred space, and have an honest conversation with your inner self. Ask her what she dreams of creating, how is she going to do it, and where she wants to go in life. My dream is to practice my art full-time (I do NOW), but I had to ask myself what that looks like for me. I researched what my warp (the foundation of my art practice) was made from. Then, I researched what my weft (my passions and values) were that kept me motivated and aligned in my art practice. Lastly, I designed the pattern I wove for my dream artist residency via setting weekly goals for myself that will get me a step closer to where I want to be. YOU can start weaving your dream artist residency (with my help of course), but you have to be willing to say yes to making your dream a reality.

Healthy Shift

You will go through periods of time when a healthy shift needs to be made for growth and sustainability to occur to get you closer to where you want to be. Keep in mind when you make a shift you are making an investment in yourself. Yes, time to build your empire gurl! I made the decision to invest in weaving my dream artist residency back in November 2018. Since then, I hired myself a launch strategist who coached me on how to turn the art that heals me into a sustainable business that heals others, was awarded 2017-2018’s inaugural YoungArts Daniel Arsham Fellow (unrestricted $25,000 grant I didn’t even apply for). Today, I’m making work I love, making money off the work I love, traveling, and coaching women Artists/Creatives of color, like you, to accomplish their goals and aspirations in their artistic endeavors.

Invest in YOU

We are magical and add value to the world we live in every day. It is my honor to support, encourage, and keep it real with YOU (in a loving way of course). Working with me you will gain clarity about who you are as a person, an Artist/Creative, and the direction you’re willing to take on your artistic trajectory. We will find your niche, passion, set goals, strategize revenue streams doing what you love, set up a budget to do what you love, create a self-care template, learn how to manifest to propel you forward in your practice or business, and much more.

Are YOU ready? Work with me below and book a FREE consultation today to get connected. Sis, let’s weave your dreams into a reality.
